this is the real output of the script, shown live. it is a single html file that can be attached to an email or opened in any browser.

all data in this project is synthetic: random numbers with a fixed seed, no real company or person.

from question to result

the challenge
every Monday someone copies numbers from the order system, the quality system and the maintenance log into a report by hand. the three exports even use different date formats, column names and number formats.
the approach
I wrote one Python script that reads all three files, fixes their differences, calculates the weekly figures, compares them with the week before and writes the finished report. scheduled every Monday, it runs without anyone touching it.
the result
the report for week 39 builds in seconds. it shows a fill rate of 96.3%, a defect rate of 2.45% and 10.3 h of unplanned maintenance, and points out that Housing is the first product to check.

the data and the code

you can open every file, rerun the scripts and get the same result. nothing is hidden behind a screenshot.
